Transparency about how WishKit earns revenue from affiliate partnerships.
WishKit is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and other Amazon marketplaces worldwide (including but not limited to amazon.ca, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, and others).
WishKit is a participant in the eBay Partner Network (EPN), an affiliate marketing program that enables us to earn fees by linking to eBay.com and other eBay sites worldwide (including but not limited to ebay.co.uk, ebay.de, ebay.ca, ebay.com.au, and others). When you click on eBay product links and make a purchase, WishKit may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
When you click on product links within WishKit (either in your own wishlists or shared wishlists from other users) and make a purchase from Amazon or eBay, WishKit may earn a small commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you. This applies to all Amazon and eBay marketplaces globally.
Important: Affiliate tracking codes are ONLY added to product links on public wishlists (accessible via /w/[slug] URLs). Private wishlists (viewed only by the owner) do NOT include any affiliate codes. This ensures compliance with Amazon Associates Operating Agreement and provides transparency about when affiliate links are used.
When you share your wishlist publicly, Amazon and eBay product URLs will include our affiliate tracking codes. This happens transparently while supporting WishKit's operations. These affiliate parameters do not change the price you pay or affect your shopping experience in any way.
Affiliate commissions are paid by the retailers (Amazon, eBay, etc.), not by you. The price you pay for products remains exactly the same whether you use our affiliate links or go directly to the retailer's website. You will never pay more by using WishKit.
Revenue from affiliate commissions helps us maintain and improve WishKit's services, including product scraping, stock monitoring, and hosting costs. This allows us to keep our subscription prices affordable while providing a high-quality wishlist service.
Per Amazon Associates Operating Agreement, we do not cache or display Amazon product prices. For Amazon items, you'll see a "Check Amazon for price" link that takes you directly to Amazon's current pricing. This ensures you always see the most accurate, up-to-date pricing information directly from Amazon.
Non-Amazon retailers (eBay, Walmart, etc.) will continue to show cached prices as normal, as they are not subject to the same 24-hour caching restrictions.
WishKit currently partners with Amazon Associates and eBay Partner Network. We may partner with additional retailers' affiliate programs in the future. Any such partnerships will be disclosed here and will operate under the same principles of transparency and no additional cost to users.
